SPUP’s Senior High School department held a seminar on Macro Skills in the Modern Business Landscape with the theme: “Navigating the Digital Era: Mastering Macro Skills for Business Success” on April 11, 2024, at the Mother Madeleine Hall, Learning Resource Center. The seminar aimed to empower Grade 11 and 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) students with the skills necessary to thrive in the digital age. Dr. Glenda Caronan (Principal, Basic Education Unit) opened the seminar by underlining the significance of macro skills in today’s business landscape.
The keynote speaker, Mrs. Carolina “Chiqui” Escareal Go (CEO and Chief Behavioral Strategist at Mansmith and Fielders Inc.), captivated the audience with her message of resilience. Ms. Go’s inspiring words, “It’s okay to fail, bounce back, recover, and learn from it,” resonated with the students, reminding them that failure is a stepping stone to success.
Ms. Janica Lumbag, (G11- ABM), expressed her appreciation for the seminar, stating, “This seminar truly opened our eyes to the importance of developing macro skills to thrive in the digital age.” The seminar focused on fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, equipping students with a strong foundation for their future careers. By prioritizing these essential macro skills, SPUP is ensuring its ABM graduates are well-prepared to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.
