Being one of 14 universities in the Philippines recognized and endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education, St. Paul University Philippines, through the Director of Internationalization Dr. Jeremy Godofredo Morales, participated in the 2023 AIMS-Ph Workshop in Iloilo City on April 25-28, 2023.
The workshop aimed at looking back on the standing of Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) – Philippines after the program’s 10 years of implementation. Moreover, the participants dissected the issues, challenges and problems encountered by assessing the various CHED Memorandum Orders (CMOs) for the program in order to come with a plan of action for future implementation.
After thorough sharing and brainstorming sessions, Dr. Morales facilitated the planning workshop inking the future of the AIMS program in the Philippines. Atty. Lily Freida Milla, CESO IV (OIC, Office of the Deputy Executive Director and CHED-IAS Director) emphasized the ways forward and igniting the passion for internationalization among the International Relations Officers.
The workshop was hosted by CHED Regional Office VI headed by Dr. Raul C. Alvarez, CESO III and participated by IROs and Program Heads from University of the Philippines, University of St. La Salle Bacolod, University of Santo Tomas, University of Mindanao, St. Paul University Philippines, St. Louis University – Baguio, Mapua University, Lyceum of the Philippines University – Batangas, De La Salle University, Central Mindanao University, Central Luzon State University, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, Batangas State University, Ateneo de Manila University with invited observe Universities and HEIs from Region VI.
