SPUP’s Knowledge and Information Resource Network (KIRN) endeavored the National Book Week celebration on November 20-29, 2023. With the theme, “Read. Reread. Dr. Rosalinda Tanguilan (Director, KIRN), in her message, emphasized the importance of libraries as hubs of learning, research, and community engagement. She highlighted the pivotal role that librarians and information professionals play in connecting people with information, fostering a culture of curiosity, and supporting lifelong learning. A series of engaging activities participated in by SPUP students across levels were held.
Literary-academic contests were endeavored for College students, such as: Poem Writing competition, Name the Noteworthy activity, and Paulinian Wizards play. The winners were Mr. Bon Angelo Cabauatan (SNAHS, Poem Writing), Mr. Ronnie Ballad and Ms. Denise Aquino (SASTE, Name the Noteworthy), and Mr. Engelbert Ilan and Mr. Ryan Paul Carbonel (SITE, Paulinian Wizards).
For the Basic Education learners, a “Book Character Parade” which brought the enchanting world of literature to life was held.
