SPUP STUDENT NURSES WIN IN NSF SCIENTIFIC PAPER COMPETITION

SPUP student nurses, namely Czarina Orpilla, Ana Mirella Cipriano, Cassandra Louise Magallanes, and Faith Excellent Rivera clinched the championship plum in the International Nursing Scientific Festival (NSF) Scientific Paper Competition. The said academic convergence was organized by the Universitas Brawijaya in Indonesia on November 5, 2023.
Their research, titled “Online Learning Engagement and Clinical Skills Self-Efficacy among Senior Nursing Students of St. Paul University Philippines,” showed the high levels of online learning engagement and clinical skills self-efficacy among students, signaling their preparedness for professional roles despite limited in-person undergraduate experience.
The Nursing Scientific Festival Scientific Paper competition aims to foster the creativity of Nursing Science students in addressing critical nursing issues within the scientific realm. This particular category focuses on Biological Sciences and their relevance to various aspects of nursing practice, including basic research, maternity, pediatrics, medical-surgical, and emergency and critical care.
At the helm of the said research endeavor is their adviser, Mr. Allan Paulo Blaquera, MSN.
